West Beach Resort on Orcas Island is located on the sunset westside of the Island. West Beach Resort is one of the few locations in the San Juan Islands with RV and camping sites. RV sites have water and electrical (20 or 30 amp) service. Campsites are located in a grassy area amidst apple, fir and alder trees, and are a short walk to the beach. All sites have a picnic table and a firepit. A clean showerhouse is nearby. Sewer dumping is not available on the grounds, but is available close-by. West Beach Resort also offers a small store for groceries, gasoline, scuba air, fishing license, seasonal kayak tours, boat rentals, and limited dock space. Moran State Park is the largest public recreation area in the San Juan Islands.
Mount Constitution in Moran State Park is the highest mountain in the San Juan Islands. There are several locations to view the San Juan Islands archipelago, and a viewing tower at the top of the mountain, the view is noted for being one of the seven most scenic views in the world.
Moran State Park on Orcas Island is a 5,252-acre camping park with five freshwater lakes.
The park has 151 tent spaces, one dump station, five restrooms and 10 showers.
Campsites are located in five different camping areas. Some campsites are along the water.
Features Unique Facilities: Camp Moran State Park ELC (capacity 144 people) and the Camp Moran vacation house (capacity 8 people) are located within the park. Picnic Areas: two kitchen shelters with and two without electricity, plus six sheltered and 55 unsheltered picnic tables.
Moran State Park offers 33 mi. Hiking Trails, 11 mi. Bike Trails, 6 mi. Horse Trails, 2 boat ramps, Fishing (freshwater) Swimming (freshwater) and Mt. Constitution, the highest point on the San Juan Islands, stands a observation tower that offers panoramic view of the surrounding Islands, Washington's Olympic Penninsula and Vancouver Island BC. Obstruction Pass Park 360-376-2326 Obstruction Pass Park, Orcas Island
Obstruction Pass Park on Orcas Island is a 80 acres hike in and boat in camping park with 400 feet of beach. The park has 11 campsites and 3 mooring bouys, picnic tables fire pits and restrooms up the trail at the parking area. Driving directions to Waterfront Camping on Orcas Island at Obstruction Pass Park. Obstruction Pass Park is located on the eastern side of Orcas Island, approx. 18 mi. from Orcas Island ferry landing, 4 mi. past Moran State Park, around the bend at Olga approx. 1/2 mile there is a Y in the road, follow the Y to the left that points to Lieber Haven Resort, Obstruction Pass Store, Free Public Boat Launch, Spring Bay Inn and Obstruction Pass Park. Approx. 3/4 mi. you will see on your right the sign Obstruction Pass Trailhead Rd. and Spring Bay Inn, take this road. The road ends approx. 1 mile at Obstruction Pass Park, there are restrooms, and there is a trail down to the campsites. Lieber Haven Resort and Marina offers camping supplies, groceries, forgotten items and treats at their Obstruction Pass Store as well as kayak and boat rentals, free public phone, visitor information and maps. The resort welcomes visitors and is just 1 mile past the turn-off road to Obstruction Pass State Park. There is a free public boat launch ramp and small public dock for loading and off loading near Lieber Haven Resort and Marina, the resort has their own marina and welcomes passing boaters to stop in at their guest dock, they also have seasonal boat moorage, and slip space for their guests. If you pull into their dock DO NOT for any reason tie up and leave your boat for anytime without their permission, stop by the store office, if the store is closed call the resort on their free public phone, located just outside the store, to make sure it is okay.
